Jamestown S'Klallam Tribal Council
The Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe is governed by a five-member Tribal Council
elected to two-year terms on a staggered basis. All enrolled Tribal members
over the age of 18 years are eligible to vote and run for office.
Tribal governmental programs receive overall direction from the Tribal Council
through the Executive Director.

W. Ron Allen,
Tribal Council Chairman
Ron has served as the Chair since 1977 (30 years) and as Executive Director for twenty-two years.
He is a member of the JKT Art Board, Hunting/Fishing Committee (Ad Hoc member),
Tribal Gaming Commission, and U.S. Canada/Pacific Salmon Commission.
He served four years as President of the National Congress of American Indians
and two years as the First Vice President. Ron is currently Chair of the Washington
Indian Gaming Association.

Liz Mueller,
Tribal Vice Chair
Liz was elected to the Tribal Council on October 5, 2002. She has served in an
administrative capacity in Health and Human Services for fifteen years. Liz has worked
diligently for the preservation of Tribal history and culture. She is an active member of
the Cultural Committee, Education Committee, Elders Committee and the Jamestown Community Network Board.
Liz is currently Chair of the Washington Indian Policy Advisory Committee.

Matthew Adams,
Tribal Council Treasurer
Matt brings to the Council a combination of twenty-six years experience in
Tribal business enterprises and sixteen years as a Tribal employee.
He participates in a variety of Tribal boards and committees including the
Jamestown Seafood Board, Economic Development Authority, Hunting/Fishing Committee,
JKT Art Board and the Family Network Board.

Kurt Grinnell,
Tribal Council Member
Kurt was elected to the Tribal Council in October, 2004. He has served on
the Hunting and Fishing Committee for 17 years. Additionally, he serves as
Tribal Policy Representative for the Tribe's Natural Resources Department.
Kurt has also served on the Education Committee, Housing Committee and the
Cultural Committee. When the Tribal Geoduck Fisheries opened in 1981 he
became a commercial diver. In the early 90's he served as the Indian Child
Welfare Case Worker, Chemical Dependency Counselor and Social Worker.

Heather Johnson-Jock,
Tribal Council Secretary
Heather was elected to the Tribal Council on October 8, 2005. She
has served on the Jamestown Community Network Board, and has been a
strong advocate for community empowerment and social issues in the Tribe.
Heather is an accomplished traditional artist, and has worked hard to further the
Tribe's traditions and culture, in the community and in the region.
While her educational background is in business, she believes in the traditional
way of leadership in which "honesty, respect, hard work, and generosity are the
roots of good leadership, and a strong community."
