The Wolf Children
The sons from top:
The Sea Mammal Hunter, The Hunter in the Forest, The Fisher of Halibut and Salmon, The Woodworker and Canoe Builder, and the daughter, The Root and Berry Gatherer, Clam Digger and Basket Weaver.

These children represent the skills needed to be successful in the S'Klallam culture. Carved above their mother, the legend of the Wolf Children explains the origin of the village on Sequim Bay.

Key Partnerships

The Tribe takes an active role in community environmental projects. We participate in the Dungeness River Management Team and implement habitat restoration and water conservation projects. The Tribe has developed a public park and natural history interpretive center along the Dungeness River in partnership with the Rainshadow Natural Science Foundation and the National Audubon Society.
